Rev Evangelist Ephraim Godsgift Effiong is an ordained
minister of the Assemblies of God, Nigeria. He has pastored
churches and served as the evangelist and youth co-ordinator of
the Assemblies of God, Nigeria at the district level. Together
with his partner, Rev Theodore Effiong, they co-ordinate the
prayer ministry known as Prayer City (An Inter-denominational
Ministry) where souls from different walks of life gather
together to intercede for the land and the nations.
Headquartered in Calabar in Cross River State in Nigeria, they
have run both radio and television programmes tagged "Get to the
Altar".
The work of Prayer City began late in 1995
when Rev. Ephraim Effiong and his ministry partner, Rev.
Theodore Effiong received a vision from the Lord showing the
entire compound on the marina filled down to the riverfront with
praying people. Prayer gatherings have since met every Wednesday
from 9am to 4pm throughout the past decade numbering up to 2,000
men and women from over 50 denominations and Church
affiliations. This work, 'Prayers to all Nations (PTAN) has
expanded the scope of its prayer ministry to reach every Local
Government Area in Cross River State by conducting five to seven
day Solemn Assemblies in each area. They cancel ancestral
covenants and curses, and address the issues of idol worship,
witchcraft and evil cults. They release the people to bring them
back into the freedom of serving the true God through their
response to the preaching of the gospel.
Rev. Ephraim Effiong has a vision and a burden for
the youths in the state. He has set up the Calabar Youths Action
Movement (CYAM) to counsel and rehabilitate the former "area
boys and girls". They gather together to meet every last
Saturday in the month. The computer training programme has been
set up for the CYAM in the Prayer City compound, but remains a
separate work from PTAN.
For some time, "Get to the Altar," the radio
programme has been off the air. Ephraim's wife, Pastor Gift
Ephraim took up the challenge to preach on the radio -
sponsoring herself for half an hour on Wednesdays from 7pm to
7:30pm. This has been effective and people have been responding
very well.
Both Ephraim and his wife, Gift have written
excellent books ... "Launch
out into the Deep" ... "Life in the Deep" ... "Radical
Restoration of the Firstborn" ... "Women in God's End Time
Agenda" & "A Prepared Vessel for the New Wine". They
are blessed with four children, Glory, Blessing, Ephraim Junior
and God'sFavour.
Rev. Ephraim Effiong conducted a ministry programme
in Singapore during the month of June 2006 and also has
connections in other nations. He was due to minister in the
greater London area in 2007 subject to obtaining his visa but
unfortunately it didn't materialise. We are hopeful that he will
be ministering in the UK soon.

The following year he toured the UK more extensively accompanied
